Sweden is smoke-free but Kronoberg continues its prevention work
1 day ago175 readers
Sweden can now be called smoke-free after fewer than five percent of the population smoke regularly, according to the Central Bureau for Alcohol and Drug Information (CAN). Despite this milestone, Region Kronoberg will continue its work to prevent smoking and tobacco use in the region. Activity developer Angelica Arvidsson explains that certain groups in society still smoke more than others, depending on factors such as economic circumstances and place of residence. Region Kronoberg has monitored the development carefully and is pleased that its efforts against smoking have produced results.
