about 2 hours ago597 readers
Health ministers from EU countries will hold an extraordinary online meeting on Friday to discuss preparedness and cooperation measures regarding the Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The meeting is being arranged following Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's calls for stricter entry controls due to the disease outbreak. The health ministers are also expected to address the situation during their regular meeting in Luxembourg two weeks later. Over 130 people have so far died from Ebola virus, and the WHO has classified the outbreak as a global health emergency.
